Born in 1977, director Aïda Maigre-Touchet studies Film at Paris 8 and Concordia (Montreal) universities, on her way to a Master’s in Film Production. Shot in the Arctic, her first film Kiyukta was awarded an honorable mention for best emerging documentary filmmaker in Québec and selected in international film festivals. Then she directed a short essay in France: Forests (2009) that was included various programs. After a stay in Haiti, she achieves Elegy for Port-au-Prince (2011).
